Agronomy Club UI Elects New Executive Team

 By Adebayo Balqees Folayemi The Agronomy Club, University of Ibadan (UI), has successfully concluded its elections for the new executive team under the supervision of the Agronomy Club UI Independent Electoral Committee (ACIEC). The elections were held to ensure a transparent and fair process, allowing members to actively participate in choosing their leaders for the upcoming session. Following the elections, the new executive members of the Agronomy Club UI were announced as follows: Emiola Deborah – President Idoko Emmanuel – General Secretary Adebamiji Opeyemi – Health and Welfare Minister Ojo Paul – Financial Secretary Ojareche Abigail – Sports Minister Akintola Luke – Social Minister It was also noted that Chinonso Favour, who had contested for the position of Social Minister, later withdrew from the election. The successful conduct of the elections under ACIEC underscores the Agronomy Club UI’s dedication to democratic leadership and organizational excellence.

Agronomy Club Begins Distribution of Departmental Books

  By: Adebayo Balqees Folayemi The Vision Team, the executive body of the Agronomy Club, University of Ibadan (UI), officially commenced the distribution of departmental books on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. Financial members of the club are advised to visit the department’s secretariat to collect their copies. The Vision Team has encouraged members to collect their books promptly, as distribution holds from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Mondays to Fridays. Through this effort, the Agronomy Club, UI continues to promote active participation and engagement within the department.

2024/2025 PRESS NIGHT

One of the key electoral processes in determining the next executive members of the Agronomy Club, University of Ibadan, for 2025/2026 session was done today. A Press Night was held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at the final year classroom, in the department, which started at exactly 4:00pm, and ended at past 7:00pm. Seven aspirants presented their manifestos for the association, and answered the questions asked by the Pressmen of the department, and others from outside the departments. An avenue to access the aspirants’ visions and strategies for Agronomy Club, UI, was ensured by the night.  Agronomy Club Independent Electoral Committee (ACIEC) announced the commencement of 2024/2025 Election Activities, yesterday, 14th of December, 2025. The Agronomy Club members are called upon to actively participate in this democratic process, which plays a vital role in shaping the leadership and direction of the club. Election activities are set to begin on Wednesday, 17th December 2025, and members are encouraged to mark their calendars to ensure full participation. The committee has outlined the key activities leading up to the elections: Wednesday, 17th December 2025: Screening at 11:00 AM and Press Night at 4:00 PM Thursday, 18th December 2025: Manifesto Night at 3:00 PM Saturday, 20th December 2025: Election Day at 9:00 AM Candidates are now invited to declare their intentions, engage with members, and canvas for votes.
