AGY Club Holds Departmental Congress
By: Kehinde Esther Boluwatife The departmental Congress of the Agronomy Club took place on Friday, April 24, at the Crop and Horticultural Sciences Laboratory. The program began exactly at 2:27 pm, with an opening prayer led by Kehinde Esther Boluwatife. The General Secretary, Mr. Idoko Emmanuel, read the agenda, which covered the upcoming dinner, departmental dues, and other internal matters. President Emiola Favour then took the floor, sharing ideas to help Agronomy students fully embrace their identity as agricultural students. She outlined two core training aspects: field training and agricultural research. A field trip to an agricultural institute (such as IITA) was also proposed, with students contributing to transport fare and other items. A major point of discussion was the proposed adjustment of the AGY CLUB constitution.
