 ROADSIDE BUKAS OR CLASSY RESTAURANTS?

Every man must eat, but where you eat and what you eat are two very important factors to consider if you're concerned about your health.

A lot of people would agree with me that the location and beauty of a restaurant are also very important. It's one of the first things anyone, especially me, would consider before I even think about the quality and cost of the food. If there were to be a poll to choose between the cost of food and the quality of food, a lot of people would rather choose to consider the cost of food than its quality.

So many factors override the beauty of a restaurant. Most bukas aren't eye-catching but they serve quality food. I won't ignore the fact that some really fine restaurants serve foods of lesser quality than bukas. Many people would gladly eat in big restaurants because it connotes a high social and financial status.

I'm not trying to differentiate between the two or project one as better than the other but I want to establish the fact that any of them could be the best one if they satisfy these three criteria;

 Proper Hygiene;

The environment should be clean and without any foul smell or traces of dirty water or piles of unwashed dishes. The tables and chairs should be thoroughly clean, and the plates, spoons, and cups should have no trace of foreign substances. The napkins should also be clean and neatly folded on the table.

The person serving the food should be nothing short of clean. By clean, I mean, clean hands and nails, clean clothing, and no body odor.

The Quality of the food;

After the above has been satisfied, the quality of the food should be highly considered. It should be well and thoroughly cooked and it should be fresh. Ensure that you're not served leftovers. One way to know leftovers is from the outlook and taste of the food. It doesn't look, smell or taste fresh.

The nutrients of the food must be balanced and make sure it suits your health challenges if you have one.

The Affordability or cost of the food;

There's a popular saying that goes thus, 'Cut your coat according to your cloth.' In plain language, eat within your means. With a little amount of money and a proper combination of foods, you can eat healthily.

Whether you choose to eat in a buka or a classy restaurant, it doesn't matter. You just have to make sure it suits the above criteria!
